It’s our spring break fund drive.

We are raising money that goes directly back to our athletes: team shirts, food for meets and meet entries. Our goal is $50 per athlete. See Flyer or donate by clicking here. You can also bring a check to “Ellensburg Track” to the EHS office. Thank you!

March 17-22

We are really rolling now! Our first competition is under our belts. Athletes have been bringing the ENERGY! That’s our theme for the year.

This week there are TWO meets. Athletes will compete in one or the other, but not both. Saturday Invitationals usually have limited entries, so varsity only. Sometimes there are Frosh or Frosh/Soph divisions. JV athletes can all compete Thursday.

Monday: Practice 2:40-5:00 At practice- confirm with event coach which meet you will be attending this week.

Tuesday: Practice 2:40-5:00

Wednesday: Practice 2:40-5:00 (Pictures will either be 3-4 at track or 4-5 in gym). Order pictures at Parsons Photography

Thursday: Davis JV Invitational or practice

Davis JV Invitational Depart 1:30PM return 8PM Meet Schedule

Friday: Practice 1PM-3PM (It’s early release)

Saturday: Papa Wells Invitational at East Valley. Depart 7:30AM, return 5:30PM Meet Schedule

Spring Break Practices Monday-Wednesday-Friday 9AM-11AM If you are going to be absent get a training plan from your coaches.

Practices are 2:40-5:00 school days

  • Jeff Hashimoto (Head Coach, Distance): Jeff Hashimoto has coached distance runners since 2020. As an athlete he competed in NCAA Division I Cross Country Skiing. He has coached Cross Country Running at EHS since 2004.  His favorite thing about Track & Field is seeing the variety of athleticism across different events, and working with the excellent EHS Track & Field coaching team.

    Kelley Quirk (Jumps) Kelley Quirk has 40+ years in coaching, having coached Volleyball, Basketball,
    Softball and Track and Field at the youth, middle school, club and high school level in Iowa, Michigan,
    Minnesota and Washington State. Coach Quirk began coaching volleyball at MMS in the Ellensburg
    School District in 2007 and EHS Track and Field in 2010. As an athlete she competed in NCAA Division I
    Volleyball at Iowa State University.

    Josephine Camarillo (Distance) Coach Jo-Jo began her running career in high school and continued to compete for Mt. San Antonio JC for 1 year and UC Irvine for 4 years. She was Big West Conference Cross Country Champion in 1995 while leading her team to a 1st place team title. She later qualified as an individual at the NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Nationals held in Ames, Iowa. In Track, she was Big West Conference Track Champion in the 10,000m and 5000m in 1997. She was given the title from the Orange County Times for Best Continuing performance for a leading role in 1997 as she competed in the 10,000m final on Friday at 7pm (1st place), competed in the 5000m on Saturday at 11am (1st place) and finishing off with the 3000m at 4pm (4th place).  She began coaching XC in 2013 and track in 2020. She is very proud of her athletes, past and present, and looks forward to working with future athletes. In her spare time, she is also the Director of the Ellensburg Public Library.

  • Earning a varsity letter is a privilege and an honor. To earn a varsity letter athletes must:

    1) Qualify for an compete in the CWAC district championships

    2) Demonstrate excellent sportsmanship and character through the year.

    3) Participate in community service with the Track & Field team.
